Tenacious, Resilient, Intelligent & Ambitious!
Founded in 2022 by Rochelle Wilson, a dedicated 6th-grade literature and language arts teacher, the mentoring program emerged from her profound observation of students grappling with confidence, self-esteem, and peer pressure. Starting with just 15 young ladies, the initiative rapidly gained momentum, swelling to over 60 participants within its inaugural year. As the program expanded, parents recognized its impact and eagerly stepped in, joining the executive board and volunteering their time to enrich the experience.
Together, this dedicated team orchestrated numerous successful events, including women's expos, vision board parties, and even a glamorous sneaker ball at Navy Pier. These gatherings provided invaluable opportunities for empowerment and community building. Moreover, the program's curriculum delved into essential life skills, covering topics such as goal-setting, positive self-talk, and self-care, all aimed at nurturing the holistic well-being of the young women involved. Through Rochelle's vision and the collective efforts of mentors and volunteers, the program continues to serve as a beacon of hope, guiding its participants towards a future filled with confidence and resilience.

Rochelle Wilson, a Chicago native, wears many hats as a devoted wife and mother of four. With nearly a decade of experience in education and over 15 years as a mentor, Rochelle has dedicated her life to empowering others. Her journey wasn't always smooth; in her youth, she faced her own battles with confidence and rejection. However, Rochelle turned these challenges into strengths, using her experiences to uplift and inspire others. Her transformative book, "Purpose Over Popularity," stands as a testament to her resilience and commitment to helping individuals navigate their own paths to self-discovery and empowerment. Through her writing and mentoring, Rochelle continues to make a profound impact, guiding others towards embracing their true purpose in life.
