With experience as a cheer coach, church youth leader, and preschool teacher assistant, she brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge and compassion to her mentoring role. Shorlanda is passionate about inspiring young people to be the best version of themselves and believes deeply in the power of community.

Sharonda Yates is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a master’s degree and a passion for helping others thrive. As a mentor in our program, she brings both professional expertise and a heart for service. With over 20 years of experience working with youth, Sharonda is committed to making a positive impact and finds fulfillment in helping young people grow, succeed, and navigate their journey with confidence.

Michel’le Crayton is a certified Trauma-Informed Facilitator with additional credentials in Sexual Assault Intervention, Anti-Human Trafficking, and Personal Development. A devoted wife and mom of four, she’s passionate about helping young women navigate real-life challenges and build confidence. Inspired by IAM’s commitment to doing the hard work, Michel’le is dedicated to guiding girls toward becoming intelligent, ambitious, and empowered leaders.

Rochelle Wilson is the visionary behind Intelligent and Ambitious Minds, committed to empowering young girls through mentorship and life skills development. As the program chair, she plans and organizes impactful events and activities designed to build confidence, purpose, and personal growth. Rochelle’s leadership ensures that every girl in the program has the support and opportunities she needs to succeed.
Board Chairperson
With 25 years in business management, Gloria Clay brings strong networking and fundraising skills to the board. Passionate about helping young girls succeed, she has been involved with IAM for two years and also serves as a Sunday School teacher and praise dance leader. She embraces the “I am ambitious” spirit, pushing herself to greatness and contributing wherever needed to support the organization’s growth.
CFO | Development Chair
A dedicated wife, mother of four, and Senior Account Manager, Tierra Burton brings leadership, fundraising, and community engagement expertise to IAM. Her connection began through her daughter’s participation, igniting a passion for the program’s mission. With a background in early childhood education and experience in business management and HR, she is committed to empowering young girls through confidence-building and community service.
Volunteer Coordinator
An experienced educator with over 18 years in the field and a degree in Educational Leadership. Ericka has been instrumental in helping I AM grow from the inauguration in 2022. A wife and proud mom of two daughters, she is passionate about empowering young ladies and creating positive, purpose-driven learning environments.
Governance & Compliance Chair
An experienced educator and community advocate, Tiffany brings a background in teaching, leadership, and event planning. With degrees in Sociology, HR Management, and Teaching, she has served in education for six years and held leadership roles in healthcare. Passionate about mentoring and giving back, she is committed to supporting IAM’s mission and empowering young girls.
Trustee
With 17+ years in the nonprofit sector, Corderral Lewis is committed to mentorship, fundraising, and community growth. Guided by the belief “For the village we live, and for the village we die,” he leverages his experience and network to create meaningful opportunities. As he continues to learn and engage, he looks forward to making an even greater impact.
Board meetings are held every first and third Monday of each month.
